At Western Washington University, a student-run boxing club is giving women and nonbinary students something most gyms rarely do: a place to throw punches, talk through their feelings and build community without hypermasculine pressure.

Western Washington University’s Art and Music Productions (AMP) plans to provide free film showings for students this fall with their fall film lineup, and other film showings. Having started Friday, Oct. 17, and ending Sunday, Dec. 4, AMP will host one film event per week, skipping winter break.
The venue, which is run by tenants rather than a business, plans to host a large event this week as their final show on Oct. 10, starting at 1 p.m., featuring many bands and festivities.
