Personal finance for college students varies case by case, but many students may not know the resources at hand to grow their understanding in financial literacy.
Described as a eureka moment by Solomon Klar, the couple was walking the beach one morning, coffee in hand, when the idea sprang on them: “Let’s open a coffee shop.”

For students without access to a car, the local bus system accesses local trails, including the North Chuckanut Mountain Trailhead. The Outdoor Center is an on-campus community that engages students in outdoor activities and shines a light on the areas surrounding Western. The Outdoor Center offers equipment rentals, day excursions and overnight excursions for as little as $5.
The Western Washington University Career Service Center has an abundance of free resources online and in-person available to students and alumni to help them successfully find jobs and launch their careers.
Western Washington University is gearing up to host families of students on campus for its annual Fall Family Weekend, which will run from Oct. 18 through Oct. 20.
