On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Chanticleer Book Reviews will hold the 2026 “Books By the Bay” book fair at Village Books in Bellingham, Wash. The book fair is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features tables filled with self-published and indie authors' work from across the country.
On Saturday, April 18, Western Washington University’s music department will host the 2026 Western Washington Percussion Festival. The percussion festival was founded in 2011 and hosts over 200 high school percussion students from across Washington.
Western Washington University's first pop culture magazine, devoted to uplifting Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) voices on campus, had its official launch on Oct. 25th, 2025.
