Sophomore Chrissa Browder-Long, environmental science major

Q: Where do you get your style inspiration? A: Sometimes my mom kind of inspires me because she dresses a little hippie-esque. I also like to be really comfortable. I like to see what other people are wearing and go to thrift stores. I’m a pretty flexible dresser. Q: How has your style changed over time? A: When I was little I was such a girly-girl. I would wear all pink and purple sparkley things. When elementary school hit, I kind of became a tomboy. Now it’s kind of a mix between the two. I’ve learned to love both sides, and I find comfort in mixing the two. Q: What motivates you to put time into your look? A: I personally feel better when I put a cute outfit on. I like to change it up and put an effort in with the different seasons. Q: What stores do you usually shop at? A: I like thrift stores a lot. I made a pact with myself last year that everything I bought besides sports clothes and underwear would be second-hand. Most of my clothes are thrifted. Value Village is a good store, and I’m from Austin, Texas where there’s this place called Top Drawer where I go a lot.
