Winter time in Bellingham: it’s cold, the days are short and school just won’t let up. Good thing Bellingham has some of the best happy hour deals around. Whether you’re looking for good food, good booze or good company, Bellingham has it all. With happy hours in downtown Bellingham starting at 2 p.m. and going until some restaurants close, there’s a little something for everyone. To get your night started : Jalepeños, located at 501 W. Holly St., is the perfect place to get your night started or to blow off some steam after a long week.
Their infamous Big Mama margarita is only $7.50 and domestic beers are only $3. “It’s a bang for your buck, literally,” customer Emily Bunnell said. Happy hour is offered from 2-5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close daily. It’s also offered all day on Sundays and Tuesdays. If you get hungry, they also serve up some great food options including a $4 quesadilla and $6 nachos. For the beer drinkers

For a more sophisticated crowd For a unique experience : Redlight Bar, located at 1017 N. State Street, offers unique drink options for cheap during their daily happy hour from 4  to 7 p.m.. They have specialty infused liquors like jalepeno infused tequila and strawberry and black peppercorn infused vodka. They offer well drinks for $3 and $5 off bottled wine. You can get $1 off almost everything on the menu, plus free bar snacks. This is definitely a unique Bellingham bar and has a little something for everybody. Hopefully the stress of finals has not yet ruined the week, but it’s a great chance to unwind and go explore some of Bellingham’s finest happy hours.
