As the Western Washington University men’s golf team flew into Ohio to compete in the Division II national championship tournament, so did fifth-year senior Jordan Lee for the first time in his career. The man largely responsible for getting the Vikings into that position stepped into the climax of one of the most dominant stretches any golfer or athlete has ever had at Western.

On Feb. 12, 1931, Anna Laxall called community members to her home to form the Birchwood Garden Club. The first meeting had 39 attendees, who all became club charter members. Today, the Birchwood Garden Club has over 130 members.

Over 500 alumni and family members attended the Back2B'ham Alumni and Friends Weekend, held at Western Washington University for the first time since 2017. The event, hosted by the WWU Alumni Association from May 19 to 21, included guest speakers, bike tours, live music, food trucks and many other activities.
